10.14.04 long lost garth
have i ever mentioned that i compulsively listen to music? seriously...unless im in an extremely introverted mood, im pretty much always listening to something. back in the day, i loved garth brooks. i mean...wow. loved him. liz bought me the box set for my...14th(?) birthday i think it was. it was great, i loved it. but as time goes on, the average person's tastes tend to change and evolve, and the same was true for me. i started listening to more rock and less country, until i came to college...at which point i pretty much never listened to country anymore. well the other morning i woke up with a garth brooks song stuck in my head ("she's gonna make it"), and it just would not go away! so i dug out my old garth cd's and found the one i was looking for and just started listening... i so remember why i loved him now! the past week or so, i have been listening to his stuff every chance i get. it's great! i just finished making one huge playlist with all my favorite songs of his, and then selecting my favorites of those and burning them onto one rockin' cd (the whole list wouldnt fit). so im sitting here, happy as a clam, listening to garth brooks and thinking about better ways i could probably be spending my time, but enjoying the fact that i dont have anything pressing to accomplish at the moment. oh and by the way, the greek test that i was stressed about in my last entry...yeah...we're going to pretend like that never happened.
