kith and kin

rl friends:

liz--my best friend in the whole world. we've known eachother since the 7th grade and been best friends ever since. she's such a cutie, but watch out...she has all the spirit of a redhead and then some! :-)

hannah--another close friend of mine. we have a longer history than most of my friends and i. i met her in the 5th grade and started hanging out. we had a major falling out in the 7th grade, but then started hanging out again this past year. shes grown up a lot, and now is such a sweetie and so funny! i love her to death.

missy--a good friend of ours who is in her 20's, though she looks like she's 15. ;-) she teaches at my old school right now, tho i think in a year or so she and i will be going to mu at the same time. of course she will be working on her masters, and i on my bachelors, but hey. it'll be nice to have a friendly face there.

shiny--yes, her name really is shiny. she is my roommate from india, and is a wonderful person. i love her to death, and i am very fortunate to be a part of her life. she has helped me through so much in the time that we've lived together. she brings so much joy to my life.

nicole--she lives on first floor, and is a good friend of mine. shes a freshman, and im so glad she's here this year. she, shiny and i are the 3 girls of our group of friends who are always there.

scott--a guy who i knew a little bit last year, but have gotten to know much better this semester. he is a riot. very few people can make me laugh as hard as he does.

matt--also someone i knew before, but have become much closer to this semester. he's a great guy with a really good heart. lots of fun to hang out with.

jared--i knew who jared was last year, but that was about it. he and i are good friends now, and he calls me for love advice. he's pretty amazing, and im glad ive gotten to know him better.

amy--this girl is priceless. she also makes me laugh like none other. she and i have become quite close this semester, and i value her friendship so much. not only is she great for a laugh, but she's a great person to talk to when im down.

kelly--im not that close to kelly right now, but im getting to know her better and better. shes a lot of fun, and has a really good heart. hopefully she and i will continue to get to know eachother better as the semester rolls on.

justin--justin has just started hanging out with us recently. he's yet another hysterical person. i dont know him that well right now, but hopefully he'll keep hanging out with us. he seems like a really great guy.

mitch & becky--they are a married couple whose house we often invade. they are one of the very few married couples ive ever been around who make all their single friends feel so comfortable. i dont see becky that often, she goes to southern, but mitch goes here.

carrie--a girl who lives on my floor. she lived in mexico for...11 years? i think that's right. shes really sweet and a lot of fun, tho we never really hang out.

jennifer--a friend of mine that i know from high school. we started hanging out my sophomore year after my surgery. she is one of the funniest people ive ever met, tho lately shes been going through some emotional stuff that makes it weird to be around her sometimes.

lydia--a former good friend, though i do regret the "former" part of that. shes really pretty much screwed herself over, backstabbed us all, and made every attempt to distance herself from us that she can. i still love her like a sister though, and i hope someday she can see what she's doing to herself

skyler--my ex-boyfriend. our break up was not exactly pleasant, but what break up is? anyhoo...i have issues with guys that trace pretty definately back to him. he is now married and his wife is expecting. see my september entries from my last diary for more.

kyle--actually, i dunno where to list him. he is my first boyfriend, and we dated online, but yeah. after dating for about a year and a half, he seems more like a RL person than an OL one. i wonder what he's doing, and i look back on our relationship with a bitter-sweet sentiment.

family:

mom--my wonderful wonderful mother. i hope someday im as good of a parent as she is. granted, she gets on my nerves sometimes, but she is one of my very best friends and always has been.

dad--more often called "daddy". he is quite possibly the wisest man i know, and an excellent father. i love him very much. he is also one of my professors. for some reason, everyone laughs when i say that. oh well. i love his class, and its large enough that it's not awkward or anything.

david--my older brother. he's a fun guy, and i really enjoy the time i get to spend with him, as rare as it may be.

alicia--david's wife. shes a good gal, and we get along fairly well for the most part,tho sometimes i think she really doesnt like me.

matt--my oldest brother. he was killed in a car accident when i was 6 years old, he was 15. i remember next to nothing about him, but it doesnt stop me from missing him terribly.

ms. hendry--probably the teacher i will mention the most in here is her. she is an incredible and wonderful lady, and a very good friend in many ways. she and i are a lot alike in the way we think and feel and our general outlooks on life. shes not actually a teacher of mine this year (she's a lit teacher), but i was her student aid 5th hr. she went with liz and i on our road trip this summer. she is more of a friend now than a teacher type. i pretty much call her arlisa anymore, since that's her first name.

ol friends:

hmmmm...dont have very many of these anymore. oh well. and those i do have, i havent seen in ages. but that's probably my own fault, its not like ive been on much lately.

kristie--a sweetie that i know from a site that i used to RP at. she's helped me through a lot, though we dont always talk very consistantly, but i know i can vent to her about just about anything.

heather--another dear that i know from the same site as kristie. ive known her for quite a while, and, like kristie, she's there for me when i need to talk. i think of both her and kristie like big sisters that i never had.

tim--heather's husband whom i havent seen for a while, but he's a fun guy to chat with and ive known him longer than my other ol friends, if my memory serves me correctly.

jay--i started writing with jay not too long ago. im very glad ive gotten to know him better, he's a fun guy and an amazing writer!

my pets:

yes i know, its funny that i have a section just for pets, but oh well.

3 cats--mickey! ive had him for a very long time, and the only reason we got the other 2 is because i bawled when i thought he had run away. hes the fattest cat ive ever seen, and is completely grey. dia (named for lydia) is black and white and meows entirely too much. lizzy (named for liz...duh) is a tan colored tiger stripped cat, sister of dia. she always tries to lay on my face when i go to bed, but other than that i love her to death.

1 dog--jen, not to be confused with jennifer, a pure bred german shepherd.

henry--my bonsai tree which i purchased at wal-mart. i dont think he's actually a real bonsai tree, i think he might just be a sprout of a tree that wont do well in the bonsai world, but shhhhhh! dont tell him! he lives with shiny and i in our room.

tomas (pronounced with a spanish accent)--another bonsai who lives in our room. he's a recent addition to the family, and is considerably smaller than henry or putrus.

putrus (hindi for 'peter')--our third bonsai. he's medium sized, and we got him the same time we got tomas. i think he's shiny's favorite of the three.

jimmy--jimmy is a plant (not a bonsai) who actually belongs to jared. im not exactly sure why jimmy is in our room, but he is. he lives half the time with shiny and i, and the other half in jared's room. again, im not exactly sure why...but there ya go.
