noooo...im not procrastinating

well guess what i should be doing right now. hehehe...not this. i vowed that i wouldn't procrastinate this semester, and while i'm doing worlds better than last year, i'm still not exactly on top of my game.

anyway, i was sobbing when i wrote that last entry, so im sorry for the complete lack of sense that it made. im fine now...i'd just heard a really sad story about how an old man died in front of his disabled wife, and she couldnt help him...and it just hit me really hard. im doin better now...

so what's new? im livin in the dorms once again...and i have a new roommate! it's so weird, but good at the same time. shiny is honestly probably in here more than leah (my current roommate), and we almost backed out at the last minute and switched back to being roommates, but we decided to give this a go. honestly, i think it's been good for us. it's made us realize how close we are and how much we value our friendship.

classes are goin well. im finally getting out of the "core" curriculum and into stuff that has to do with my major, which means lots of classes like anthropology and such. good stuff. my classes aren't too easy, but not too rough either. im having a good time with my friends, stayin on top (for the most part) of my homework...all in all it's shaping up to be a very good (but very different) semester. it's hard to see some friendships just...dissipate. but i guess that's just the way life works.

it's just so wonderful after last year. first semester was absolutely horrid because of all the medical stuff i had going on. second semester was wretched because i took two crazy hard classes in the same semester which people should never ever do. one of my best friends that was gone last semester in ireland is back now, and we're all havin a good time hangnin out and such. so yeah...

also! ive decided to make yet another appearance on the RP scene. very exciting news for my life! many thanks to heather who extended the invitation, im very excited about writing with you again! ive written some stuff of my own...but it's so weird to write by yourself when you're so used to the whole co-authoring, sparking off of each other's ideas, thing. im scraping lea's old bio (which i spent forever writing), and re-doing the same character with a new twist. should be fun.

and in other news, im still reading anna karenina!!! lol. i really shouldnt complain that much...it's a really good book. but it feels like ive been reading it forever. im past page 500 now, so only about 300 more to go! woot!!

and on that note, i really do have stuff i should be doing. but here's a good quote that i found, which is very wise and worth thinking about...
